The keyboard feels very nice to type on, I really enjoy the sound of the keys as well.
I was previously using Tesoros Gram XS as a low profile mechanical keyboard and although they were in a similar price range the difference in build quality is night and day, the Cascade slim feels leagues nicer in every single aspect over the tesoro.
I didn't enjoy having to pay 20 bucks for an extra set of keycaps in order to have the all white keyboard look I was after, but the caps themselves feel nice and quality as well, at least.
I don't have anything to add about the quality of the bluetooth as I've been using it on USB almost exclusively, it was fine the handful of times I've tried it though.
The LEDs are vibrant and pretty, the controls for switching between lighting modes is pretty intuitive, I like that the CAPs key turns white when I press it to indicate it is on, though it doesn't change to any other color when using the all white lighting mode.
I very much enjoy the size of this keyboard for my space although I do miss having a number pad on occasion; I unfortunately ordered this just a bit before the kickstarter for the cascade 98, though that one is visually a bit less aesthetically pleasing with its large bezel so I probably would have ended up with this one in the end and perhaps I'll add a separate number pad eventually.
Overall, I love this keyboard, I often remark about how pretty it is and how nice it feels to use it since getting it. I've attached a few images and a video of how it sounds while I'm typing on it <3
This is the first slim board that I purchased. Out of all my options, this board had the best aesthetic and the keycaps! my goodness the keycaps are so beautiful! I've been typing on this for a few days now (switched my regular mech board with a slim to see how I like it), and so far it's a dream! All of the joys of a mech board, but with none of the heft. As much as I love my daily driver, it can be such a nuisance to lug back and forth between work and home. This board is light and enjoyable to type on. The spacebar is a bit loud, but that can be fixed with a little modding (also every keyboard has a loud spacebar before modding, so not a shock really). And I love tactile switches, but I'm looking forward to switching these ones out with a different set of tactiles (or maybe just lubing the ones I currently have). The RBG is lovely to look at. Having an F row is great. The board looks very premium as well. I went bronze and wow, so worth it! Overall a great board and I'm happy that this was the first one I tried. I hope that eventually we'll have the option to change the layout using Via, but maybe that's just a pipe dream.
Other reviewers mentioned bluetooth: that hasn't been an issue for me so far (they may have fixed it with this new set of boards), but they give us a cord that's very easy to use with any type of computer port, so personally, I'm pro-cord so that could also be why I'm not noticing any issues.
Okay, so obviously I'm preaching my love for the keycaps quite a bit, but that's the finishing touch, a lovely addition to a board. Having options is so wonderful. The fact that I can at a later date, come back and switch my keycaps is amazing. The two other brands I looked at (keychron and nuphy) looked like the board quality was nice, but the keycaps were so drab (and brand specific). So seriously, thank you for making a board that sounds nice, is hot-swappable, and can easily be modified or suited to the person.
Keyboard feels high quality, pleasure to use and impressed with the look. Overl happy with the purchase but some minor issues I've found using the keyboard after 3 months. These include a delay in key recognition after a break in use. This could be due to the bluetooh connection but when I press a key it does not register if I have paused typing e.g. ~30 seconds. I also find that the keyboard does not register a "shift" + function key the first time. It always requires I press this combo twice and results in two symbols being produced, e.g. two double quotation marks "" are produced the first shift + " does not register but when pressed again the second time it will produce two of the symbol - not sure if this is just a setting that I can change though.
